#7ReaderFacts

Hi there and welcome to my blog! I’m happy you’ve found the courage to enter my lair even though this is my very first post on this brand-new blog. To kick everything off, I’m sharing my #7ReaderFacts. Hopefully you’ll know me a little better after this post and you won’t feel any fear of entering my lair any more as I have a lot of other posts planned!

1) A book that you are too lazy to read

No bookdragon likes to admit that they are too lazy to read a certain book and I was completely appalled that they DARED to ask this question! But yeah. If I’m honest, there are a few though. The one that I’ve been avoiding for years is A Game of Thrones. It’s just so huuuuge and starting it would mean committing to a series of giant books. So I keep crawling under my blanket to hide away from that book.

2) A book that made you swoon

There aren’t a lot of books that give me those warm-and-fuzzy feelings inside (not a lot can warm my cold heart), but Carry On definitely did. Such a sweet, cute and wonderful read! I just wanted to hug the stuffing out of it.

3) A book that gave you a bookhangover

I thought really hard on this one, but I can’t think of any book. I’m sure I suffered from a bookhangover once or twice, but no actual title comes to mind. Maybe I’m just too cold-hearted to be affected by a book for a longer period of time. Oh well.

4) A book that you always recommend

I tend to give my recommendation based on what that person likes. I don’t think there is ONE book that everyone will definitely love. (I mean, there are people out there who do not like Harry Potter. We all know they are heartless zombie people, but they are out there.) So you know what, let me know what you like to read in the comments, and I will recommend a book especially for you!

5) A book you never get tired of rereading

Once upon a time, my lair was very small and my bed was made of only 10 books. I used to reread A LOT back then, but now my TBR has grown so much (I swear that it multiplies all by itself) that I always have something to read. So I haven’t reread anything in quite some time. But whenever I get I-think-I’m-dying sick, my go-to book is ALWAYS Graceling. The story clicks perfectly with every aspect of my soul and aaaah, I love it so much.

6) Favorite author

For this question I’m going for my auto-buy author Gail Carriger. If you haven’t yet read her amazing Parasol Protectorate series, and her sequel and prequel series to this, you’re seriously missing out! All her books are steampunk, and filled with vampires, werewolves and ghosts. They are SOOO much fun from beginning to end.

7) The book that made you fall in love with reading

When I was little I was already an avid reader. But when I got Witte-heksennacht (literally: White-witches Night) from my uncle for Christmas one year, I REALLY fell in love with reading. The story opened my eyes to a different kind of book filled with fantasy elements (before that my mom chose my books in the library and well, she isn’t a fan of fantasy), and I plowed my way through the author’s shelf in record time. Loving every book I read.

But then life got in the way. (Okay yeah, I turned into a teen and books weren’t all that important any more.) And I didn’t read much for YEAAAAARS. Right up until I discovered this weird book called Twilight and found a new kind of story. Thanks to YA, I fell in love with reading all over again at the age of 19 and the love continuous to this day.
