My 2017 Summer Vacation TBR

T-7 days until my Summer vacation starts. (No, YOU have been counting for over a month now.) My amazing Summer vacay is only 2 weeks long, but hey, it’s actually the first time in four years that this working girl has a real Summer break. So bring out the sunglasses, sangria and euhm… sbooks, because I’m going to vacation my heart out.

First off all, I need to do some high-level math. I have a total of 17 vacation days ahead of me. Of these 17 days, I will spend 3 days at YALC, 2 days in London and 2 days in the claws of a readathon. So, I’m counting 2 books for the 5 days I’ll be out and about, 3 books for the readathon, and 6 books for the other regular days. If my calculator is correct, that’s a grand total of 11 books to plan out. (What a beautiful round number. NOT.)

I’ve been known to read Thirteen Reasons Why on the beach, so my pick of Summer reads will probably end up not being all that Summer-y. (This girl likes her books dark, gruesome and gritty!) Basically just hoarded all the books I want to read in the near future and kept them for this TBR. You’ll see some books returning from my series I need to finish list.

I’m not all that good at following TBRs and I’m really curious to see if I can stick to it once I buy all those pretty, new books at YALC. Will I finish this list? Will I add more books to it? Or will I utterly fail?

What do you think of the selection of books I’m reading during my vacation? And what about you, which books are you reading? Is there a certain kind of book you prefer reading during the Summer? Let me know in the comments!
