My 2018 Reading Resolutions

HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope with all my heart that you had an amazing start of 2018 and that all the books you order this year will arrive dent free. As so many bloggers are doing, I’m starting the year with my reading resolutions and I’m keeping a running update of the results on a dedicated page. Here’s to an amazing year!

Goal 1: Continue my book buying budget

Back in September 2017 I set myself a book buying budget and I’m dead-set on continuing it in 2018. Basically, I’m only allowed to buy two new books every month. In the beginning it was a bit difficult, but now I’m used to taking my time and picking the two books for that month. Oh, and books bought with gift certificates do not count for this challenge… And that’s totally allowed.

Goal 2: Continue my series I need to finish lists

This I started in July 2017 to get my reading a little under control. I noticed I had embarrassingly many series on my shelf that I never actually finished. Even when I already owned every book. (I said it was embarrassing.) So I created a list of five series I needed to finish and managed to do that in December. What followed was my second list of series, and I want to continue creating and finishing those lists in 2018.

Goal 3: Goodreads Reading Challenge

I already complained long and hard about the Goodreads challenge, and I’m not going to do that here. As the challenge has stayed obviously the same (le big sigh), I’m setting it at 85 books. I should be able to reach it fairly easily without it being too easy either.

Goal 4: Popsugar 2018 Reading Challenge

With the Goodreads Reading Challenge being such a disappointment yet again (*le very big sigh*), I’ve decided to finally try my hand at the Popsugar Reading Challenge. It consists of 40 prompts and to complete it, you need to read:
